Solomon, KS 67480, JOB PURPOSE

This position is responsible for removal of combine parts and components preparing them for resale or salvage.

• Responsible for the teardown of combines and various components.
• Must mark and label all parts leaving the area.
• Ensures upkeep and proper use of all equipment, and checks that necessary equipment is on hand.
• Assist Used Parts department as necessary in moving, storing, arranging used parts or machinery.
• Follows and enforces all safety rules and regulations; keeps work environment clean and free of hazards.
• Follows all departmental procedures and policies. Recommends changes to procedures for Manager approval.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior combine mechanic or similar experience.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical assessment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Ability to frequently lift, carry, bend, stoop, and/or reach. Ability to exert 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently (Level 4 Heavy Work).
• Ability to stand and walk, and operate large machinery as required throughout the day.
• Ability to use a computer workstation, including keyboard and visual display terminal.
• The ability to listen to and understand information through spoken words and sentences.
• Ability to see details at close range.
• Finger, hand, and wrist dexterity sufficient to manipulate hand tools and powered equipment.
• Required hearing baseline assessment upon hire and annually thereafter.

• Effective communication/comprehension skills-verbal and written.

• Able to work alone or with minimal supervision.
• Ability to exhibit good judgment and adaptable to different situations.
