Maintenance Technician
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Maintenance Technician to support operations at two properties located in Maize, KS and Valley Center, KS. This position is ideal for a skilled maintenance professional who can work independently and efficiently while handling a variety of repair and maintenance tasks.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform general property maintenance and repairs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner.
- Repair, install, and maintain household and commercial appliances.
- Complete basic plumbing repairs, including faucets, drains, toilets, and minor pipe repairs.
- Perform drywall repairs, patching, texturing, and painting.
- Complete unit make-readies, including repairs, cleaning coordination, and inspections.
- Install and repair doors, locks, fixtures, cabinets, and other building components.
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repair needs as required.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure properties remain in excellent condition.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Travel between Maize and Valley Center properties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous maintenance experience required.
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance, appliance repair, drywall, and basic plumbing.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues.
- Experience with make-readies and property turnover processes preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical maintenance work.
