General Labor, Building Maintenance
Position Overview:
Established grades and provide layout for all construction activities, provide operator support as required.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Be knowledgeable of the project plans
- Accurately provide grades, lines and locations of features and plan representations
- Interact with foreman and engineering staff to know the upcoming work and any clarifications to the work
- Communicate issues to the foreman and office staff for timely resolution; provide solutions to the issues as necessary
- Maintains company safety and quality standards
Other Duties:
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Promotes awareness of and follows Company and safety policies.
Working Conditions:
Work is generally from 7am to 3:30pm, M-F. Work days and hours are dependent on job demands

- As required
Mental and Physical Demands:
Physically able to traverse the project site and access all areas. Have acuity to learn the plans/specs and coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
Communication Demands:
- Interaction with office staff, crew, owners representative, subcontractors and in a positive manner that promotes teamwork
- Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics and measurements to practical situations
- Efficiently communicate directions, issues, and resolutions
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Experience 5 years of civil experience.
Computer Skills N/A
Math Good mathematical skills
Reading Ability to read and comprehend drawings for job specifications.
We primarily employ carpenters, laborers, and operating engineers. We are signatory to collective bargaining agreements with the following unions listed below and are subject to the hiring rules of each collective bargaining agreement. We anticipate hiring for projects on Oahu, Maui, Hawaii, and Kauai as work becomes available and will be contacting the respective union to fill these positions:

* This is a union position. Selected candidate will be asked to join the Operating Engineer's union prior to starting work.
