Warehouse Pallet Repair 1st Shift

Position

Ryder is hiring permanent full‑time Skilled and Semi‑Skilled Construction Laborers for our warehouse manufacturing facility in Kapolei, Hawaii.

Hourly Pay: $26.00 per hour.

Schedule:

Monday‑Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

• Use a pneumatic nail gun, powered saw, and other powered/hand tools to repair or assemble pallets.
• Place pallets on repair table; remove defective boards; replace with new boards and secure them in place.
• Stand for long periods (8–10 hours) and lift up to 75 pounds throughout the shift.
• Safely and securely repair pallets at a rate that meets company standards and safety requirements.
• Operate a pry bar to detach damaged boards from the pallets.
• Operate a hammer, grinder and a saw to remove existing nails and use a 25‑lb nail gun to nail components together.
• Manually lift 70‑lb pallets from a stack to a repair table.
• Ensure pallets meet and pass CHEP's quality control audit.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
• Wear all required safety equipment while repairing pallets.
• Perform other duties as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 0 to 1 year of carpentry or construction background preferred.
• Ability to comprehend basic math.
• Ability to operate power tools safely.
• Ability to follow repair procedures.
• Can twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, and crouch frequently.
• Can use proper techniques to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
• Capable of standing and walking for extended periods (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8‑hour day).
• Can use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements.
