Custodian

Igloo Products Corp. seeks a Custodian to support overall facility building and grounds maintenance activities, enhancing facility appearance and functionality.

• Empty and clean waste receptacles.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms and other areas as necessary.
• Mop, dust, and sweep floors as needed.
• Clean and maintain air vents.
• Wash walls where needed.
• Clean glass entry doors.
• Maintain security in building during and after cleaning.
• Check and straighten all conference rooms and lunchrooms.
• Clean sinks and countertops in break areas.
• Keep custodial storage and work area clean at all times.
• General parking lot clean‑up including emptying trash containers, sweeping walkways and steps.
• Set up conference and/or training rooms as directed.
• Periodic cleaning of windows.
• Other duties as assigned.

• English language skills:
  Ability to speak and understand basic English; comprehend instructions.
• Math skills:
  Ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s, using U.S. money, weight, volume, and distance units.
• Physical demands:
  Lift and transport up to 40 lbs., climb and descend stairs, work with little supervision.
• Work environment:
  Wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, unpleasant odors, outdoor weather, extreme heat, vibration, or electrical shock risk.
• High School Degree or equivalency.
• Six (6) months of custodial experience.
• Can‑do attitude.
• Ability to work with little supervision to accomplish designated tasks in a timely manner.
• Team‑working and cooperative spirit with co‑workers.

Roles may involve extended periods (up to 12 hours) of standing and walking, including brisk pace and occasional stair climbing.

• Operator‑level roles may involve lifting up to 25 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Technician‑level roles may involve lifting up to 50 lbs. multiple times per day, including overhead lifts.
• When possible, mechanical aids (e.g., hoists, forklifts) are used.

Use of both hands is required to operate tools, perform adjustments, and handle assembly materials with precision.

Sufficient visual acuity (e.g., 20/40 with or without correction) is necessary for tasks involving inspection and safe equipment operation.

• Work is performed in a production setting where seasonal temperatures may range from 100–120°F (with humidity) in summer to cooler winter conditions.
• High noise levels are common; hearing protection is provided and required.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as ear protection, safety glasses, steel‑toed shoes, gloves, and protective clothing may be required depending on the task.

These roles can be physically demanding, involving repetitive motions and long hours. Technicians may be required to handle heavy molds and materials; use of material handling equipment is provided and encouraged.
