Equipment Technician

Description:

Locally owned and operated McDonald's looking to fill a Equipment Technician Position to work in our 12 restaurants across central Nebraska.

Job Summary:

+ Oversees the performance & maintenance of machines & equipment in restaurants

+ Full-time position

Duties/Responsibilities:

+ Diagnose and repair broken equipment

+ Performs general plumbing, electrical, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) repairs to the facility's equipment and systems.

+ Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines and equipment.

+ Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.

+ Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.

+ Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.

+ Orders and installs replacement parts.

+ Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns.

+ Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.

+ Prepares reports documenting work performed.

+ Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains parts, tools, and supplies.

+ Coordinates with primary maintenance & managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.

+ Collaborates with managers regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required.

+ Obtains services of outside contractors when repairs require specialized training.

+ Performs general cleaning tasks in the facility.

+ Maintains inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies.

+ Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/ Abilities:

+ Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.

+ Thorough knowledge of general plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repair.

+ Ability to read blueprints, building plans, and repair manuals.

+ Ability to use hand tools and power tools.

+ Ability to follow instructions.

+ Excellent time management skills.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Works well independently and with others.

+ Good communication skills.

+ Organized with attention to detail.

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.

Education and Experience:

+ Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience, required.

+ Previous experience in related field preferred.

Physical Requirements:

+ Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

+ Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.

+ Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, and crawl into awkward spaces.

+ Must be able to visually inspect machines.

+ Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Salary: $85,000-$100,000/year (based on experience)
