As Events & Restaurant Supervisor, you will support the Restaurant & Events Manager in delivering exceptional service and guest experiences at the winery’s restaurant and throughout private and corporate events. You will lead and motivate a high-performance service team, oversee the set-up and execution of events, ensure adherence to service standards in a fine-dining and high-volume premium winery environment, and collaborate closely with kitchen, wine-education, and events teams to deliver memorable guest experiences.

The Life of our Restaurant and Events Supervisor:

  • Lead the set-up, execution and take-down of private events (corporate events, tastings, public events) in collaboration with the Private Events Team.
  • Provide on-the-floor leadership and support for the restaurant and events service team.
  • Motivate, train and develop team members to deliver five-star service, with attention to guest needs and proactive follow-up.
  • Anticipate guest needs and ensure that all requests are handled in a timely, polite and professional manner.
  • Oversee small event sales by responding to inquiries, conducting site tours, preparing proposals, closing bookings, coordinating event details.
  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of public events, ensuring seamless operations, alignment with brand standards, and exceptional guest experiences from setup to completion.
  • Assist with inventory management, tracking supplies, glassware, flatware, event equipment, and restaurant service item
  • Support ordering of supplies, monitor par levels, ensure quality of product and supplies, and liaise with vendors as needed.
  • Support the Restaurant & Events Manager in maintaining and improving budgets, cost controls (food, labour, beverage) and service profitability
  • Ensure that service standards, dress codes, closed procedures, POS systems and daily operations are maintained to high standards.
  • What We’re Looking For:

  • 5 years of food and beverage service experience in fine dining environments
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in a fine dining environment
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, & Excel)
  • Open and flexible schedule for the duration of the season
  • Current Food Safe Level 1 and Serving It Right certifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; professional appearance and demeanor; ability to handle change and ambiguity with flexibility.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays (especially during event season).
  • Bonus:
    Second language proficiency; formal wine accreditation (e.g., WSET, ISG) or strong wine-knowledge background.
