- Food & Beverage.
We are also on a bus route, with a stop just outside of the hotel, and are our complimentary shuttle also picks up our employees from the bus loop at UBCO.
What will you be doing?
Under the direction of the Food & Beverage Manager and Assistant Managers, Floor Manager
- Food & Beverage is accountable for the day-to-day operations of the restaurant including staff training, light administration and active floor supervision during service.
Build and maintain relationships with guests, team members and management alikeShow leadership in creating a culture that revolves around the experience and enjoyment of food and wineDemonstrate high personal integrity, business ethics and takes every opportunity to promote the venueCommunicate the vision to all team members and lead by example. Reinforce the Gulfstream and Four Points by Sheraton values daily, and inspires the team with his/her exciting vision for the futureUse conflict resolution and problem solving skillsAssist with the tracking of sales, invoicing, and managing inventoryConduct briefings with service staff prior to each serviceEnsure that food and service meet quality control standardsStrive for maximum efficiency and continual improvement of staff productivityParticipate or be aware of the Health & Safety Committee, ensuring that the Occupational Health & Safety Act and WSIB procedures are being followedEnsure facility is well maintained, repaired and spotless at all timesTrain staff in job duties, and sanitation and safety proceduresSet staff work schedules and monitor staff performanceAdditional duties as assigned or requiredWhat are we looking for?
To successfully fill this role, you should demonstrate the following:
Minimum 2 years’ supervisor experience in a high volume, fast paced hospitality environment.Must possess superior verbal and written communication skillsAbility to demonstrate extreme organization in a fast paced environment while acting as a team playerStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage a large and variable work load, ensuring timely and accurate completion of assigned workProficiency in all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookAbility to work flexible hours including evenings and weekendsServing it right credential an assetPerks
