JOB SUMMARY

The Facility Equipment Mechanic is responsible for performing general repairs and preventative maintenance activities to utility systems, and associated equipment within process facilities and drill-sites.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Maintain competency in troubleshooting facility mechanical systems which may include turbines, reciprocating gas compressors, air compressors pumps and valves.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities on utility systems, and equipment.
  • Inspect, identify and repair/rebuild identified mechanical issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inspection and maintenance activities.
  • Organize and work alongside of installation contractors.
  • Must be competent with the use of computers for research, material ordering, writing and updating work orders.
  • Good communication and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must be comfortable working as an S.P.O.C. dealing with offsite and onsite vendors.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, tools, and the general work area.
  • Other duties will be assigned to this position as needs require.
  • Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
  • Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • Must have a minimum of (5) years related training and experience.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Driver License required.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry and in the arctic environment preferred.

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE

While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi‑Fi and Internet is free and available within the camp.

Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self‑serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc. Each facility will have its own accommodation and policies that will be reviewed upon on‑site orientation.
