Environmental Services, Journey 2

The Department of Corrections, Division of Institutions, is recruiting for an Environmental Services Journey 2 position at the Goose Creek Correctional Center (GCCC) located in Mackenzie Point, Alaska.

Under the general supervision of the Environmental Services Lead the primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Train, direct, and review the work of the inmate workers in the custodial and laundry services areas
• Maintain a clean and sanitary physical environment throughout the institution
• May perform light duty cleaning services with the help of inmate worker

Goose Creek Correctional Center is a minimum/medium custody facility that houses up to 1500 inmates and employs over 350 staff. You will be working in an institutional setting with inmates daily.

Starting salary may be approved up to Step D-$22.09, if criteria are met.
