Job SummaryResponsible for planning, leading and coordinating the landscaping duties of assigned staff in the maintenance of university grounds.
Responsibilities- Perform grounds maintenance work in accordance with established schedules and in preparation for special events.
- Operate, install, repair, and maintain grounds equipment and hand tools.
- Ensure assignments and projects are properly assigned and completed.
- Act as the lead in the absence of leadership.
- Demonstrate and train employees in safe and proper use of equipment and grounds maintenance.
Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Qualifications:
Current, valid and unrestricted driver's license.
Required Experience: Two (2) years grounds maintenance experience.
Preferred QualificationsPreferred Educational
Qualifications:
An undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field.
Preferred Experience: Experience operating landscape equipment. Experience leading small crews.
Salary & BenefitsThe budgeted salary range is $18.15 to $22.00 per hour. Offers are based on relevant experience. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision, 13 paid holidays, vacation, generous retirement plans, tuition waiver, wellness options, and more.
Other InformationThis is a supervisory position. The position does not have any financial responsibilities. The position will require driving. This role is not considered a position of trust. The position does not require a purchasing card (P-CARD). The position may travel 1% - 24% of the time.
