Responsible for planning, leading and coordinating the landscaping duties of assigned staff in the maintenance of university grounds.

• Perform grounds maintenance work in accordance with established schedules and in preparation for special events.
• Operate, install, repair, and maintain grounds equipment and hand tools.
• Ensure assignments and projects are properly assigned and completed.
• Act as the lead in the absence of leadership.
• Demonstrate and train employees in safe and proper use of equipment and grounds maintenance.

Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Qualifications:

Current, valid and unrestricted driver's license.

Required Experience: Two (2) years grounds maintenance experience.

Preferred Educational

Qualifications:

An undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field.

Preferred Experience: Experience operating landscape equipment. Experience leading small crews.

This is a supervisory position. The position does not have any financial responsibilities. The position will require driving. This role is not considered a position of trust. The position does not require a purchasing card (P-CARD). The position may travel 1% - 24% of the time.
