• Salary: Minimum hiring rate $16.50 per hour, offers based on relevant experience

Performs housekeeping and janitorial duties to maintain assigned offices, restrooms, public areas, and residence locations. Supports general labor and minor repair tasks in university buildings and facilities.

• Cleans assigned buildings – dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, collecting trash, and wiping waste and recycling receptacles.
• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms, showers, and locker rooms; replenishes paper towels and soap dispensers.
• Collects, launders, and dries mop heads and cleaning rags.
• Waxes and refines floors, shampoos carpets as assigned.
• Maintains and operates cleaning equipment; inspects equipment and recommends parts or repairs.
• Restocks supply closets and replenishes paper supplies.
• Completes work order requests during emergencies.
• Reports building discrepancies or damages promptly.
• Uses required safety and protective equipment.

• Education: None specified.
• Experience: On‑the‑job training provided.

• Undergraduate or advanced degree in a related field.
• Customer service experience.
• Cleaning experience.

• Work effectively in small and large teams.
• Read and use diagrams and design layouts to set up event rooms.
• Work non‑traditional shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Follow established routine and perform cleaning as instructed.
• Handle multiple tasks or projects concurrently, meeting deadlines.
• Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets and Personal Protective Equipment; awareness of safety protocols.
• Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem‑solving, independent judgment, organization, communication, time management, project management, and presentation skills.
• Proficient with computer applications (Microsoft Office suite).
• Strong attention to detail and follow‑up skills.
• Strong customer service skills and phone and e‑mail etiquette.
