What You’ll Do- Promote Safety – prioritize safety throughout the operation for yourself and others, in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
- Repair and Maintain Plant Equipment – perform repairs and maintenance on plant equipment, including screen changes, conveyor belt repair and adjustment, wear‑part replacement, crusher liner changes, water pump service, cutting, grinding, and welding as needed.
- Inspect Equipment and Structures – conduct daily inspections and maintenance of plant equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations, maximize production, and minimize interruptions.
- Monitor Processes and Materials – monitor and review the plant, specifically aggregate crushing, washing, and screening areas to identify problems and ensure safety and materials compliance.
- Document and Record Information – enter and maintain service and lubrication reports for plant equipment to keep up‑to‑date preventive maintenance records.
- Perform General Physical Activities – assist with plant operations through cleaning, washing, sweeping, and shoveling materials.
- Additional Responsibilities – other duties as assigned.
- Previous experience in the aggregate or construction industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of general principles and practices of industrial maintenance, construction, or aggregate production is preferred.
- Must be able to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands.
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions and tolerate loud noise.
- Must have some knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.
