Facilities Assistant

Join Uline Inc. as a Facilities Assistant in our Facilities & Maintenance department, supporting a fast-paced Distribution & Logistics environment. In this role, you'll help maintain building systems, coordinate repairs, monitor safety and cleanliness, and assist with vendor and equipment management to ensure smooth daily operations. Responsibilities

• Support the daily operation and upkeep of Uline's distribution and office facilities, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
• Perform routine facility inspections, identify maintenance needs, and complete basic repairs in areas such as lighting, plumbing, doors, docks, and general building systems.
• Assist with preventive maintenance on equipment and building systems, following established schedules and documenting work performed.
• Respond to facility service requests and work orders in a timely, customer-focused manner, coordinating with team members and leadership as needed.
• Support distribution and logistics operations by maintaining dock areas, racking, storage locations, and material handling equipment in good working condition.
• Assist with vendor and contractor visits, including escorting, safety orientation, and verifying completion of work against standards.
• Monitor and replenish maintenance supplies, tools, and parts inventory to minimize downtime and ensure readiness for repairs.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, actively participating in safety inspections and contributing to a culture of safe work practices.
• Help with office and warehouse moves, furniture assembly, setup of new work areas, and event or project-related facility support.
• Collaborate closely with Facilities & Maintenance team members and cross-functional departments to support continuous improvement in facility reliability and efficiency.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to expand technical skills and support long-term career growth within Uline.
