We are seeking a highly alert and safety-focused
Yard Spotter to join our team in Kenosha County, WI on 2nd shift!This role is critical for maintaining a safe work environment by assisting operators and ensuring proper site logistics.
- Hazard Identification:Continuously scan the environment for potential dangers such as overhead power lines, ground hazards (trip/fall risks), and nearby equipment.
- Communication:Use clear, pre-arranged hand signals or radios to communicate effectively with operators.
- Site Safety:Ensure the safety of workers on foot and prevent property damage; report any issues promptly to supervisors.
- Site Logistics:Direct and park vehicles in designated areas, such as loading docks.
- Alertness:Must remain fully focused on the task, free from distractions (phones, etc.).
- Communication:Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, including proficiency with hand signals.
- Spatial Awareness:Strong ability to judge distances and positions accurately.
- Experience:Previous experience operating spotter cabs, heavy equipment, or working in a warehouse/yard environment is preferred.
