Overview
MAAG Pump Systems and related companies provide gear and polymer processing equipment across multiple industries. The Field Service Technician delivers on‑site and off‑site technical support for Maag and Gala equipment, acting as the primary technical representative to customers.
Responsibilities- Travel nationally and internationally to support customers as Maag/Gala’s technical representative.
- Interact daily with customers to resolve technical issues.
- Conduct annual follow‑up calls with all Maag/Gala customers.
- Participate in customer visits to assist with installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair. Tasks include logistical planning, coordination and trip reporting.
- Provide training to customers at Maag/Gala facilities and at customer sites.
- Represent the company, collect customer feedback, and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Engage in technical discussions on machinery repairs, upgrades and selection to meet customer needs.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, parts and sales teams to develop customer‑focused solutions.
- Work occurs in offices, factory floors, and customer sites. Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration and noise is possible. PPE may be required.
- Regularly required to talk or hear; must stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb.
- Must lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks demanding good vision and manual dexterity.
- Occasional prolonged sitting during international travel.
Education
- Mandatory
- High School diploma or equivalent; additional technical skills a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Valid US Driver's License for rental car booking.
Education

- Technical training in electrical systems (single‑phase, 3‑phase, or low voltage).
- Technical training on logic circuits, electric motors, gears or mechanical devices.
- Multiple language skills.
Mandatory
- Experience in a field service role.
- Experience using measuring and test equipment such as micrometers and multimeters.
- Ability to write progress and expense reports.
- Global travel experience.
- Experience in plastics processing or rotational molding highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized and efficient.

ScheduleMonday to Friday with possible weekends or holidays as needed.
Travel FrequencyApproximately 50% of time traveling; typical trips last 5 days with international trips up to 2 weeks.
