Temporary positions as a Substitute Custodian in the district for the school on call as needed.
Job Summary
The Substitute Custodian will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of assigned areas within the facility. This is a substitute position and the employee will be called upon as needed to fill in for the regular custodian.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods of time
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
- Availability to work flexible hours
- Must pass a background check and pre-work screening
$21.76/hr.
Compensation/BenefitsAn employee earns one hour of sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked and can earn a maximum of 48 hours each year.
Deadline: 6/30/2026EOE Employment is contingent upon completion of a background check and a required pre-work screening.
Responsibilities
- Regular custodial duties as it applies to the position
- Ensure that all cleaning equipment and supplies are properly stored and maintained
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned
