The Bellefonte Area School District is seeking a Substitute Food Service Worker to assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals to students in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. This support role is essential to promoting student well‑being and contributing to the smooth operation of daily food service programs. The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility, attention to detail, and a commitment to food safety and student service.

The Substitute Food Service Worker will:

• Ensure meals are prepared and delivered to students and staff in a clean, safe, and healthy environment
• Performs all duties as assigned by the head cook
• Store, utilize, and dispose of food and supplies in accordance with federal, state, local, and district regulations
• Maintain a safe and clean environment and perform any sanitation duties to properly clean all equipment

Minimum: High school diploma or GED

Preferred: Previous experience in a cafeteria role

Current employment clearances (dated within the past 5 years):

Copies of degree certificates and transcripts

Act 168 paperwork, Physical exam results, TB test results (required upon hire)
