Janitorial Worker - Start ASAP!!!

This role provides custodial services at a large manufacturing facility in Glendale, KY. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment by performing routine cleaning, floor care, surface care, and light maintenance tasks throughout the plant. The position requires being on your feet and walking for the entire shift while delivering friendly, responsive service to facility staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned areas throughout a large manufacturing plant while remaining on your feet and walking for the entire shift.
• Perform floor care duties, including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet spotting to keep floors clean, safe, and presentable.
• Carry out surface care tasks such as dusting, sanitizing, and cleaning glass, mirrors, windows, and other surfaces.
• Polish metal and wood surfaces and clean blinds and draperies to maintain a neat and professional appearance.
• Empty trash and recycling bins regularly and transport all waste to designated disposal areas in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform light maintenance tasks, including replacing light bulbs and restocking supply cabinets or rooms as needed.
• Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines to ensure a hygienic and safe environment for all occupants.
• Communicate clearly and courteously with facility staff and other team members to coordinate tasks and respond to service needs.
• Provide strong customer service by being dependable, responsive, and respectful to everyone in the facility.
• Work collaboratively with other custodial team members to ensure all assigned areas meet cleanliness and quality standards.
• Adapt to different cleaning tasks and areas as needed and be open to training on additional duties.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial duties.
• Ability to perform floor care tasks, including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet spotting.
• Ability to perform surface care tasks such as dusting, sanitizing, glass and mirror cleaning, window cleaning, metal and wood polishing, and cleaning blinds and draperies.
• Capability to handle waste removal, including emptying trash and recycling bins and transporting waste to proper disposal areas.
• Ability to perform light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and restocking supply cabinets or rooms.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to work successfully with other team members.
• Physical ability to walk and stand on your feet for the entire shift in a large manufacturing facility.
• Reliability and dependability in attendance and job performance.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and cleaning protocols.

Work Environment

This position is onsite at a large manufacturing facility in Glendale, KY, where you will be walking and standing for the entire shift. Shifts are structured and include both day and night options. Typical schedules include Sunday–Wednesday or Thursday–Sunday with 10-hour shifts, such as 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., 8:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m., 6:00 p.m.–4:30 a.m., or 8:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m., depending on assignment. The environment is a massive industrial plant, so you will move through different areas while performing cleaning and light maintenance tasks.
