Barge Cleaner – MRF

Marathon Petroleum Company (MPC) is currently accepting applications for a Barge Cleaner to work within its Marine Repair Facility (MRF) in Catlettsburg, KY. The role involves shift work, subject to call‑outs, inclement weather, and overtime as necessary.

• Strip product heels from tank barge
• Strip bilges from boats and barges
• Transfer product from vessel to vessel and vessel to onshore tanks
• Operate dock equipment, vacuum pumps, transfer pumps, blowers, meters, hoses, etc.
• Wear a respirator and work in confined spaces such as tank barge compartments and towboat ballast tanks

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) card required
• Prior experience working in a commercial marine environment preferred
• An associate’s degree in applied process technology or similar degree preferred
• Must pass a pre‑employment written test, hands‑on test, drug test, and background check
