Laundry Worker - Fair Oaks - EVS

Job Responsibilities

• Receives and sorts soiled linen into designated classifications.
• Operates the automatic cart washer and removes linen carts from the cart washer exit.
• Operates the flatwork ironer and small‑piece folders, folds linen following predetermined standards, and processes specialty items.
• Ensures linens meet the quality expectations designated by specific customers and performs quality control.
• Identifies each linen distribution cart with proper labels and tags, covering all lids before transport.
• Folds and stores linen to maintain cleanliness standards.
• Assists the truck driver to load linen and/or materials onto the truck.
• Informs the lead or supervisor on par level or quantity of supplies.
• Maintains cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of the work area.

• Previous experience in a high‑production laundry is preferred.
• Ability to work as a team member and maintain effective relationships.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multi‑task.
• Ability to understand and apply guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
• Ability to organize work.

Physical Demands:
Lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing may be required. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be necessary.

Infectious disease, electrical equipment, burns, blood contact, heat and humidity, mechanical equipment, sharps.
