Civil Service Rules.
This recruitment is restricted to current provisional employees
of the City and County of San Francisco, San Francisco Unified School District, or San Francisco City College, working within the 9344 - Roofer Supervisor I classification.

Under direction, 9344 - Roofer Supervisor I supervises a group of roofers engaged in applying roofing material and in patching and repairing roofs.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the Minimum Qualifications requirement by the final filing date unless otherwise noted.

1. Must be a Current Provisional Employee in Class
9344
who has worked at least 2,080 hours in Class
9344.

AND

2.

Education:

Completion of a recognized three and a half (3.5) years (42 - month) Roofer apprenticeship program.

AND

3.

Experience:

Five (5) years of experience as a journey-level roofer.

AND

4. License and Certification: Possession of a valid California driver license.

Substitution:

Education Substitution: Additional experience as described above may substitute for the required apprenticeship program on a year-for-year basis.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION

Nature of the work requires performance of heavy work such as lifting, carrying, and moving tools, equipment and supplies weighing up to 110 pounds for distances up to 100 feet; constant bending, reaching, pulling, climbing, balancing, squatting, and crawling, at considerable heights and pitches often in adverse weather conditions.

Special Qualifications including specialized knowledge, abilities, education, experience, or license may be established for individual positions.

Failure to provide the required verification may result in rejection of application and/or removal from eligibility for referral and appointment in this class.
