Leads environmental services associates in performing a variety of environmental services to maintain assigned areas in a clean and orderly condition.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- One (1) year of housekeeping experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Monitors housekeeping activities in assigned area(s) to ensure proper cleaning, servicing and stocking of supplies, the completion of work schedules and supervisory instructions; reporting problems as necessary.
- Performs housekeeping duties including, but not limited to, sweeping, dusting, polishing, mopping, vacuuming and trash removal.
- Ensures all supplies, materials and equipment are available in assigned work area for proper performance of duties; report equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
- Reports need for repair to equipment, furniture, building and fixtures.
- Assists in training employees in proper cleaning techniques and use of supplies, materials and equipment.
- Completion of annual required education related to specialty accreditation as defined by accreditation standards. Training may be completed through CBLs, trainings, In-services, and competency validation.

- Must have physical ability to perform cleaning tasks such as mopping, reaching and bending and operating floor equipment such as vacuum cleaners, autoscrubbers, buffers, etc.
- Must meet Department of Labor's Heavy Duty Standard.
- Capable of wearing appropriate PPE for an extended period of time.
- Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids and different types of cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to be scheduled for work based on operational needs of the hospital.
- Possesses the ability to deal tactfully and harmoniously with guests.
- Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of assigned areas, necessary supplies and equipment
- Must be able to read and follow written work assignments.
