As a full-time Painter for Camp Lincoln and Camp Lake Hubert, you’ll help keep our buildings, cabins, and facilities looking their best throughout the year. From routine touch-ups and preventative maintenance to larger interior and exterior painting projects, your craftsmanship will play an important role in maintaining the welcoming environment our campers, families, and team members enjoy.
This position supports both Camp Lincoln and Camp Lake Hubert and requires someone who is dependable, organized, safety-minded, and comfortable managing projects independently as well as working alongside our broader Facilities team.

Duties & Responsibilities- Complete interior and exterior painting projects across Camp Lincoln and Camp Lake Hubert, including cabins, common areas, offices, activity buildings, and other facilities.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching, caulking, priming, and completing minor repairs as needed.
- Mix and match paints, stains, and finishes and apply them using brushes, rollers, sprayers, and other appropriate equipment.
- Maintain painted and stained surfaces throughout both properties through routine inspections, touch-ups, and preventative maintenance.
- Estimate materials and time needed for projects and communicate project needs and timelines with Facilities leadership.
- Maintain an organized inventory of paint, supplies, tools, and equipment and assist with ordering materials as needed.
- Plan and prioritize projects to support seasonal camp operations, including preparation before campers arrive and projects completed during the off-season.
- Protect buildings, furnishings, landscaping, and surrounding areas while completing projects.
- Properly clean, maintain, and safely store painting equipment, materials, and chemicals.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas and follow established safety procedures.
- Coordinate work around camp activities, guests, campers, and other departments to minimize disruption to operations.
- Assist the Facilities team with other maintenance projects and property needs as assigned.
- Strong working knowledge of interior and exterior painting techniques, surface preparation, stains, finishes, and related materials.
- Proficiency with painting and repair tools, including brushes, rollers, sprayers, sanders, ladders, and other equipment.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and manage time effectively.
