Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM | On-Call Evenings & Weekends

Burlington Capital Properties is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations at Deer Creek Village Apartments and Founders Ridge. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for coordinating maintenance across two communities, supporting maintenance staff, prioritizing work, and ensuring both properties are maintained to a high standard.

The ideal candidate is an experienced maintenance professional who can balance hands-on repairs with leadership and organization. This position requires someone who can manage changing priorities, provide direction and support to other maintenance employees, communicate effectively with residents and vendors, and take ownership of the overall condition of both communities.

The Successful Maintenance Supervisor Will:
  • Oversee and coordinate daily maintenance operations at both Deer Creek Village Apartments and Founders Ridge.
  • Assign, prioritize, and monitor work orders based on resident needs, property conditions, and urgency.
  • Lead and provide hands-on direction and support to maintenance employees.
  • Perform and oversee apartment maintenance and repairs, including painting, carpet cleaning, appliance repair, and general building maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair or assist with plumbing, heating, air conditioning, electrical, carpentry, roofing, and property equipment.
  • Inspect apartments, common areas, buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify maintenance needs and ensure work is completed properly.
  • Help prepare apartments for new residents and ensure units are maintained to established standards.
  • Respond to resident maintenance requests and provide timely, professional customer service.
  • Coordinate with Property Management regarding maintenance needs, resident concerns, and property priorities.
  • Monitor maintenance expenses and work within established budget guidelines.
  • Maintain organized maintenance areas, tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Ensure maintenance activities are performed safely and in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable requirements.
  • Participate in resident events and community functions as requested by management.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance needs as part of the on-call rotation.
  • Travel between the two communities as needed to oversee and complete maintenance responsibilities.
  • Assist with other duties and special projects as requested by management.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience or experience in a related field preferred.
  • Prior apartment or multifamily maintenance experience strongly preferred.
  • Previous supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, and general building maintenance.
  • HVAC certification preferred.
  • EPA certification preferred.
  • Pool certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, required auto insurance, and acceptable motor vehicle record required.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage priorities across two communities.
  • Ability to lead and support maintenance employees while remaining hands-on with maintenance responsibilities.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work independently, follow established procedures, and carry out management directives.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and interact professionally with residents, employees, vendors, and the general public.
  • Dependable and flexible with the ability to respond to emergency maintenance needs during scheduled on-call periods.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb stairs and ladders, and work in various positions for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull tools, equipment, appliances, materials, and other items necessary to perform maintenance duties.
