Rust Constructors is seeking a highly skilled Certified Welder to join our team in Guthrie, Kentucky. This position will initially support field work related to the City of Guthrie Interim Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion project.

Our services include construction, construction management, construction consulting; testing, checkout, start-up; and plant services including total plant maintenance, shutdowns, turnarounds, production support and technical support. Responsibilities- Perform structural welds using SMAW (Stick), based on project specifications.
- Read and interpret structural blueprints, welding symbols, and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
- Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, beveling, and aligning metal components before welding.
- Fit and tack weld assemblies to ensure precise positioning and dimensional accuracy.
- Inspect finished welds to ensure zero defects, proper penetration, and compliance with visual inspection standards.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine checks on welding machines, torches, and gas regulators.
- Follow safety protocols, including proper ventilation, and proper PPE utilization.
Minimum Requirements:
- Active Welder Certification (AWS D1.1), or greater.
- 1+ years' experience working as a structural or industrial welder in a fabrication shop or field environment.
- Strong print reading skills, including full comprehension of standard welding symbols.
- Trade schools, seminar, or other relevant training.
- Proficiency in multiple processes, with strong expertise in SMAW (Stick) or GMAW (MIG) preferred.
- Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
- This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.
The rate for this position is $33.00 per hour.
