Pennypack Rehab and Care Center is seeking an experienced and dependable Director of Maintenance to oversee the maintenance, safety, and overall physical operations of our Skilled Nursing Facility.
The ideal candidate will have previous maintenance management experience in a nursing home or Skilled Nursing Facility setting and a strong understanding of healthcare facility requirements, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
ResponsibilitiesOversee the day-to-day maintenance and physical operations of the facility.
Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff and outside vendors.
Perform routine inspections and address maintenance, repair, and safety concerns.
Coordinate preventive maintenance for building systems, equipment, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other facility needs.
Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and ensure appropriate follow-up.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, work orders, and preventive maintenance.
Ensure the facility remains compliant with applicable health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Assist with preparation for state, federal, and other regulatory surveys.
Manage vendor relationships and coordinate contracted services.
Monitor maintenance and repair expenses and assist with department budgeting.
Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and employees.
Previous maintenance experience in a nursing home, Skilled Nursing Facility, or Long-Term Care setting is required.
Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
Knowledge of building systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general facility maintenance.
Strong understanding of healthcare facility safety and regulatory requirements.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond effectively to urgent maintenance needs.
Dependable, hands-on, and able to work independently.
