Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) is undertaking a major capital improvement project with a new 84,000-square-foot terminal and extended runway—a project that will support thousands of local jobs, strengthen the regional economy, and unlock new opportunities with every destination. As of Summer 2025, the new terminal has reached 60% Design—a key milestone in layout development, systems planning, and architectural design. While many core elements are in place, the design remains subject to change as we refine details and incorporate feedback on the path to final design.

Job SummaryUnder the direction of the Human Resources Manager, develops, coordinates, and delivers employee training, leadership development, regulatory compliance, safety, and workforce development programs for Tweed-New Haven Airport. Administers airport-wide learning initiatives, maintains training records and Learning Management System (LMS) activities, and supports operational readiness through training, compliance, and continuous improvement programs.
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience in training, learning and development, safety, regulatory compliance, airport operations, or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered. Successful candidates will possess strong facilitation, communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a highly regulated environment.
Regular, full-time, exempt position working on-site and reporting to the Human Resources Manager. Must be able to obtain and maintain all airport security credentials, certifications, and training requirements applicable to the position. position may occasionally provide operational support during emergency events or operational needs.
Essential Job Functions Learning & Development- Design, deliver, and evaluate employee training and development programs.
- Coordinate onboarding, orientation, cross-training, and annual training plans.
- Conduct training needs assessments and partner with leaders to identify development opportunities.
- Support succession planning, career development, and Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
