Maintenance Technician I (Entry Level)
Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician I assists in maintaining the physical condition, appearance, cleanliness, safety, and functionality of all Traditions Club facilities. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals who have basic maintenance knowledge and demonstrate a willingness to learn multiple building trades through on-the-job training.
Under the direction of the Facilities Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician I performs routine maintenance, preventive maintenance, repairs, event support, and facility inspections while developing the skills necessary to advance within the Facilities Department.
Minimum Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Texas Driver's License.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
Preferred (Not Required)
- Six months to one year of maintenance experience.
- Experience using common hand tools.
- Experience in landscaping, construction, painting, carpentry, or maintenance.
- OSHA safety training.
Traditions Club is willing to train the right candidate. Prior certifications are not required.

The Maintenance Technician I assists with maintaining:
- Clubhouse
- Ballroom
- Restaurants and Bars
- Golf Shop
- Men's and Ladies' Locker Rooms
- Fitness Center
- Tennis & Pickleball Facilities
- Swimming Pool
- Owner’s Homes
- Administrative Offices
- Storage Buildings
- Maintenance Shop
Typical responsibilities include:
- Complete assigned preventive maintenance tasks.
- Replace light bulbs and ceiling tiles.
- Perform basic plumbing repairs such as replacing faucets, toilet parts, and unclogging drains.
- Perform basic carpentry repairs.
- Patch and paint walls.
- Assist with HVAC filter changes.
- Assemble furniture and shelving.
- Replace door hardware and locks.
- Repair drywall and minor building damage.
- Assist with maintaining commercial kitchen equipment.
- Assist with pool equipment inspections.
- Move furniture and equipment for Club events.
- Keep maintenance shop clean and organized.
- Respond to maintenance work orders promptly.
Maintain tools and equipment in good condition. - Report unsafe conditions immediately.
- Assist senior maintenance staff on larger repair projects.
- Maintain clean, safe work areas.
- Provide courteous service to members, guests, and fellow employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Licenses & Certifications
Required
- Valid Texas Driver's License.
