Salary/Wage Range: $17.76 - $26.04 hourly (Classified Pay Grade
6)

• Our application is used to determine your initial salary placement for selected candidates. All employment and education history will be considered.
• Variable work hours based on department needs;
  Our normal hours are from 4:00 pm to midnight Monday through Friday, weekends and/or holidays may also apply depending on department needs.
• Schedule may vary with hours increasing up to 40 hrs a week during peak periods, up to 1039 hours in a 12 month period.

High school graduation, GED or equivalent experience and/or education.

Required Experience:

Six (6) months of experience performing the full range of custodial duties including the operation of hand and power equipment and the safe and proper mixing and applying of cleaning chemicals.

Licensure or Certification Requirements:

A current and valid Oregon driver's license OR reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Education:

Professional training in cleaning equipment and use of cleaning chemicals.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience performing the full range of custodial duties.
• Experience working in a public environment with customer-oriented interaction.
• Custodial cleaning experience utilizing trade tools and equipment.

Prior commercial custodial work experience is not required in order to be considered for this position so long as candidates can demonstrate that they have equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Position

Purpose:

Our custodians are responsible for cleaning the inside of buildings and other facilities and performing minor maintenance in a manner that is safe and supports learning at the college.
