Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

Altaflex, a division of OSI Electronics, is seeking a Maintenance Technician Apprentice. Under the supervision of the Senior Maintenance Technician, this individual will be responsible for assisting in maintaining and repairing equipment used in the production of flexible printed circuits. In addition, they will help troubleshoot, assist in performing preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
They will provide support in performing electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning equipment used in the manufacturing process. Will also dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings. They will also use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts. Preventative maintenance service, repairs of manufacturing equipment and equipment installation includes but is not limited to: chillers, vacuums, pumps, heaters, wet scrubbers and monitor controls, as needed.
The shift hours will be 2PM to 10:30PM (PST). Must be able to train on first shift (5AM to 1:30PM) for approximately 1-2 months.
- Will regularly inspect, maintain, and repair machinery.
- Implement preventive maintenance program.
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly equipment and facility inspections.
- Ensure all machinery and equipment comply with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to optimize machine performance.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and manage corrective actions.
- Assist in the procurement of maintenance supplies and spare parts.

- Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct.
- It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
- Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.
- Experience in industrial maintenance or a related field desired.
- Familiarity of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems is needed.
- Must have excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task and priorities work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
- Must be able to provide support outside normal business hours, as needed.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to regulatory guidelines.

Pay may range from $20.00 to $24.00 hourly
The pay range above represents annual base salary only. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job-related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations. Base salary is one component of your total rewards package.
