Overview

We are looking for our next Plant Maintenance Supervisor within our Maintenance Team. The Plant Maintenance Supervisor directs, coordinates, and executes day-to-day maintenance activities on-site at the Production Facility in Keokuk, IA.
This role may be assigned to a specific production unit but may cover all areas of the plant as needed. The role requires familiarity with systems including ion exchange, evaporation, batch and continuous reactor systems, powder conveying equipment, batch centrifuges, electric motors, centrifugal pumps, valves, and packaging equipment. This position is located in Keokuk, Iowa (Keokuk, IA, US).
Compensation:
The current salary range for this role is estimated to be $95,. In addition, this role may be eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation. The specific compensation offered will be influenced by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

- Manage day-to-day activities of the production unit maintenance craftsmen, including contractors.
- Ensure maintenance plans are scheduled and executed in a timely manner.
- Conduct daily meetings with production unit maintenance craftsmen to discuss toolbox safety talks, quality updates/reviews, work priorities, and hand out work orders.
- Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to meet short-term and long-term targets.
- Provide coaching, performance feedback/evaluations, assist in interviewing for future hiring, and address disciplinary actions as necessary.
- Conduct routine skills assessments of direct reports and implement training plans to close skills gaps.
- Address and resolve problems and conflicts in design, interfacing with internal customers, and developing/resolving process issues.
- Demonstrate strong technical skills and troubleshooting capabilities as a systems expert; assess issues and implement actions/projects to resolve them.
- Develop and manage appropriate spending of the maintenance budget for the assigned production unit.
- Execute good housekeeping practices contributing to the maintenance of the production area and address issues with follow-up actions.
- Comply with hazardous waste programs and hazardous material identification as required.
- Knowledge of and compliance with Union Contracts; handle complaints, grievances, and counseling as required.
- Education:
Technical Degree and/or equivalent experience in a plant maintenance environment. BS in Mechanical Engineering preferred. - Experience:
1-3 years formal supervisory experience preferred; strong team-building and leadership skills; excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation); strong motivational and organizational abilities. - Project management experience; ability to execute, manage, and/or develop projects; proficiency with Windows-based operating systems; working knowledge of CMMS; understanding of reliability-centered maintenance, proactive maintenance, and precision-based maintenance techniques (prior experience preferred).
- Ability to work with production unit maintenance staff and outside contractors to support proactive maintenance efforts.
- This role spends approximately 50% of time in an office and 50% in the plant environment.
- Physical demands include speaking/listening, standing, walking, climbing stairs, using hands to handle or feel, reaching, and working in hot, cold, and loud environments. The employee must be able to wear a respirator.
This is a full-time position. Days and flexible hours of work are required to meet facility demands.
