Floor Technician

Job Summary

Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment.

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard‑surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilizes automated equipment for cleaning large areas of floor surface.
• Uses the proper procedures on carpet and upholstery including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.

Location:

Winston Salem Forsyth County Schools – 2500 West Mountain Street, Kernersville, NC 27284 (openings at other locations within the school district available).

Schedule:

Full‑time and part‑time shifts Monday through Friday – 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, or 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Details discussed during interview. Flexibility to meet most scheduling needs.

Pay: $16.50 per hour to $17.00 per hour.

Requirements:
One to two years of floor care experience.
