HSCS is comprised of ten psychiatric hospitals, two youth residential treatment facility, and thirteen state supported living centers. This electrical supervisor supervises and performs highly advanced supervisory maintenance and construction work. The position directly supervises and trains full‑time equivalents responsible for the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and circuits at the facility. Work involves coordinating the installation, replacement, and maintenance of electrical systems, apparatus, and component of machinery and equipment. The supervisor assigns tasks, checks work in progress, inspects and reviews completed work, orders electrical parts, interviews prospective employees, and evaluates employees in the Electrical Department.

Stands emergency maintenance call as needed. Works under minimal supervision of the Assistant Plant Maintenance Manager and Plant Maintenance Manager.

Performs other duties as assigned. Other duties include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency’s obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or COOP activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location.

This position may be eligible to earn additional pay for work performed on evenings, nights and/or weekends.

This position may also be eligible to earn additional pay for work performed on maximum security locations.
