DISTRICT MAINTENANCE & OPERATIONS COORDINATOR
DutiesThis position is for the school year.
Primary Function:
Oversees maintenance and operations of all district facilities and transportation vehicles to ensure safe, clean, and functional environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Supervision
- Supervise maintenance and custodial staff regularly (Monthly Meeting)
- Assign and monitor daily work responsibilities
- Provide training and oversight
Facility Maintenance
- Schedule and perform preventative maintenance
- Coordinate repairs, painting, and vendor services
- Maintain the transportation fleet
- Mowing and Snow Removal
- Ensure that facilities, including athletic facilities are running at an optimal level
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Health-Life-Safety regulations.
- Coordinate with the Architect, and ROE to follow local, state, and federal regulations
- Maintain inspection records and documentation
- Address facility concerns promptly through ticketing system
- Assume the role of asbestos designated person for the district
Operations Management
- Manage facility improvement projects
- Monitor maintenance budgets and supplies
- Oversee grounds and seasonal operations

QualificationsBackground and Experience with School Maintenance preferred, but not necessary.

- Maintains a professional, courteous, and respectful demeanor when interacting with students, staff, administrators, parents/guardians, visitors, vendors, and members of the public.
- Maintains confidentiality regarding student, staff, and district information encountered during the performance of job duties.
- Works cooperatively as a member of the maintenance and district team and demonstrates dependability, punctuality, and a willingness to assist others.
Physical Capabilities and Working Conditions
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing, and working in confined or elevated spaces.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull equipment, tools, supplies, and materials, including items of varying weights.
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks and work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
- Ability to respond appropriately to emergency maintenance situations and perform duties requiring physical exertion.
- Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, or outside regular school hours when necessary for system maintenance, upgrades, emergencies, or district events.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Competitive Regional Salary and Benefits.
Salary Range $50,000-$60,000 based on professional experience and skill.
