General Maintenance Engineer​/Painter

The General Maintenance Engineer/Painter is responsible for maintaining the overall functionality, safety, and appearance of the resort by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative upkeep of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas. This mid-level role requires hands-on technical skill, strong troubleshooting abilities, and the flexibility to support resort operations in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform routine and corrective maintenance on guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities

* Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical issues

* Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to ensure equipment and facilities remain in safe working condition

* Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and internal departments

* Assist with pool, spa, and exterior maintenance as needed

* Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work orders

* Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and Hyatt brand standards

* Coordinate with supervisors and external vendors when advanced repairs are required

* Support emergency maintenance situations, including after-hours calls as scheduled

* Perform interior and exterior painting of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to maintain brand presentation standards

* Patch, sand, and repair drywall, plaster, and other wall surfaces prior to painting

* Match and mix paint colors to maintain consistency throughout the property

* Repair minor surface damage including dents, cracks, and water stains

* Maintain painting tools, equipment, and inventory of supplies

* Ensure proper surface preparation and finishing techniques to deliver high-quality workmanship

* Follow safety procedures related to paint handling, ventilation, ladder usage, and equipment operation

* Support minor renovation and refresh projects as assigned

Schedule & Availability

* Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as required by resort operations

* On-call availability may be required
