Responsible for performing routine plant maintenance, troubleshooting calls, surveys, locates, outage repair, track and repair Cumulative Leakage Index (CLI), power supply maintenance, and construction maintenance in accordance with Company procedures and practices. Will be called upon to troubleshoot and resolve service failures related but not limited to Company services such as Video (analog and digital), Comcast Digital Voice (CDV), and Comcast High Speed Data (CHSI) inclusive of Home Networking and Home Plug.

Desired candidates who live in Key West to provide quick response to our customers and to be able to drive your company vehicle home. Comcast provides a housing stipend for the selected candidate living in Key West.

• Possess ability to troubleshoot on analog and digital optics to support connectivity to the node, remote OLT/vBNG, or OLT, and channelized and non-channelized optical signals. Troubleshooting efforts may include the use of software and application-based tools.
• Isolate and resolve fiber optic signal impairments for Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC) and Ethernet Passive Optical Network (EPON) networks; perform inspections of fiber optic equipment such as connectors, patch panels, optical splitters, and attenuators.
• Perform construction maintenance duties such as splicing aerial/underground coaxial cable and equipment to restore cable to system specification; splice and activate new coaxial plant as required; repair and/or replace damaged aerial/underground plant; and inspect, repair and/or replace power supplies as necessary.
• Respond to damage scenarios and initiate fixes or communicate and arrange appropriate fix agents through collaboration with Construction, Head End, Operations, and other departments to resolve complex network issues.
• Perform CLI ride‑out and track and repair leakage as necessary.
• Possess knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). American National Standards Institute (ANSI), and various state and local codes including G.O. 95 and G.O. 128, where applicable.
• Check in each job in a timely manner to ensure all details of the work are recorded for entry in the customer’s account once the work is complete; complete associated paperwork with each work order as required.
• Respond to and repair service interruptions during regular business hours, shift work, or when on call as required. Normal work shifts may include evenings and/or weekends and may include 10-hour days for four days a week. Availability for overtime including weekends, evenings, and holidays is required.
• Maintain and stock vehicle and equipment; complete associated paperwork with each job in a timely manner; operate and maintain vehicle, tools, and equipment; report need for vehicle repair or service when required; report any accidents, losses, injuries or property damage to supervisor and customer when appropriate.
• Drive company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner; work and travel in inclement weather; comply with safety procedures and requirements.
