Understanding that our students need the most qualified and professional adults to guide them, Sigsbee offers all our staff members a competitive salary and living allowance. The instructional salary scale and paraprofessional scale match that of the Monroe County School District. In addition, all full‑time Sigsbee staff members will receive a $1000/month Living Allowance in the  school year.

8:30 am – 4:30 pm

• Performs general custodial duties, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking paper and soap supplies.
• Performs routine maintenance on custodial equipment and supplies.
• Empties trash receptacles, disposes of trash into compactors and/or dumpsters, and bags trash for proper disposal.
• Unlocks doors and ensures doors are locked after cleaning areas.
• Reports needs and concerns to appropriate staff, which may include submitting or recommending work orders and checking supply levels.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement for workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Performs cleaning functions specific to the assigned facilities and/or based on seasonal/project requirements.
• May provide vendors with access to areas for cleaning and may answer basic questions; may report issues with the vendors to the Facilities Manager.
• May assist or perform landscape tasks and minor maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs, adjusting furniture, or other similar activities.
• Performs miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.

Very heavy work, exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. May involve standing, walking, climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, repetitive motions.

A Valid Driver's License and High School Diploma or equivalent are required.
