Job Summary
The service technician performs bumper-to-bumper service for vehicles brought to the dealership. This position ensures customer satisfaction, safety, and comfort of vehicles.
LocationAnderson Kingman Chevrolet – Kingman, AZ 86409
Responsibilities- Conduct general repair and replacement services including brake pads and shoes, tires, wheel alignment, steering and suspension components, wheel bearings, exhaust systems, heating and cooling systems, air conditioning, drivetrain, and accessory installations.
- Perform maintenance services such as oil changes, fluid exchanges, filter replacement, fuel system services, preventive maintenance, belt and hose replacement.
- Perform evaluation services: charging system analysis, brake inspections, fluid leak evaluations, tire pressure and tread depth reading.
- Conduct visual safety and courtesy inspections.
- Perform diagnostic services for emissions control systems, drivability concerns, overheating, ABS, SRS, electrical and air conditioning systems.
- Perform advanced repair and replacement: timing belts, intake manifold gaskets, head gaskets, brake hydraulics, rear main seal, clutch, axle bearings, steering gear, sensors, switches and modules.
- Use factory specifications as the standard.
- Meet a 100% productivity goal and work within allotted time.
- Communicate with service writer or manager about assignments, supplemental work, and delays.
- Assist service advisor with work orders, test rides, customer interaction, and paperwork.
- Keep shop clean, organized, and maintain safety.
- Report accidents, injuries or unsafe conditions to management.
- Follow company policies, procedures and practices.
- Perform additional tasks as directed.
- Work with diagnostic equipment, read technical manuals, inspect components, and perform basic repairs.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in an automotive technician/mechanic role.
- High school diploma or GED (preferred).
- ASE certification preferred.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with clean driving history.
- Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to change.

Work EnvironmentThe job involves working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes, chemicals, and electrical shock. Basic office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines are used.
Physical DemandsStand, walk, sit, use hands to grip, reach, climb stairs, balance, lift up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and focus adjustment.
ScheduleFull‑time. Typical hours vary. Two weeks notice for schedule changes is provided when possible. Occasional travel for training or assistance at other dealerships may be required.
