You will lead a dedicated team of Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians, fostering a culture of safety, precision, and proactive problem-solving. Your core mission is to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency through expert oversight of predictive and preventative maintenance programs, as well as urgent machine repairs. Your responsibilities include developing and implementing effective maintenance systems—think TPM, SOPs, and robust safety protocols. You'll schedule maintenance in close collaboration with Production teams to ensure repairs are timely and cause minimal disruption.
A key part of your role involves diving into complex troubleshooting to provide both immediate solutions and long-term fixes for equipment failures.
You will:
- Develop and track KPIs for equipment reliability, overall effectiveness, and contractor performance.
- Ensure all activities comply with strict USDA regulations.
- Maintain meticulous records of maintenance work and inventory.
- Provide clear, regular status reports to the maintenance management team.
You bring a combination of formal education and practical, hands-on experience. This includes a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, plus at least 2 years of relevant experience—or an equivalent combination of education and work history. Just as important are your leadership qualities. You have a proven track record of training, coaching, and mentoring technicians. You're the go-to expert for solving high-level process issues, and you communicate with clarity and confidence, both in writing and in person.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.
