Responsibilities
Fairfax Behavioral Health is a private free‑standing mental health hospital specializing in psychiatric and detox treatment.
The Facility Maintenance Technician performs a variety of tasks in Kirkland and at our off‑site facilities, including painting, drywall, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, light HVAC, testing and inspections of physical plant equipment, preventive maintenance, transportation and various janitorial duties with minimal supervision. On‑call pay differential offered.
QualificationsEducation: High school graduate or equivalent; two‑year degree from technical or trade school preferred or three years applicable experience.
Experience: Must have experience in one or more of the following:
Painting and drywall; healthcare facilities engineering; other commercial building maintenance; construction journeyman tradesman or equivalent trades’ skills experience.
Licensure: Must have a valid driver’s license.
Desired
Qualifications:
Currently hold MEC or actively seeking to gain MEC certification; BOMA training certifications; and/or other trainings and certifications relevant to healthcare facilities and commercial building maintenance.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be capable of using various software products, including but not limited to CMMS applications and MS Office.
- Must continually document tasks and activities throughout work shift.
- Must be available to participate in the on‑call schedule which could require occasional weekend work.
- Must be adept at solution driven, professional communication with coworkers and supervisors.
- Must be receptive to feedback; always seeking opportunities to improve performance.
- Must participate in all tasks associated with maintaining the hospital environment of care.
