Lakeview of Kirkland is seeking 1 FT and 1 Temporary/PRN Housekeepers to join the team!!
1 Full Time Role
:
Monday thru Friday schedule
1 PRN:
Temporary Basis
POSITION SUMMARYAssures completion of all housekeeping and laundry tasks. Assumes responsibility for general cleanliness of the building. Monitors needed janitorial and maintenance work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES- Adheres to and conveys philosophy of supporting dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality and a home-like environment for Residents.
- Monitors inventory of chemicals, supplies and equipment needed for laundry and housekeeping tasks.
- Communicates chemical, supply and equipment needs to Executive Director.
- Maintains required records; uses Maintenance Request Log appropriately.
- Familiarizes self with cleaning schedules of Residents’ apartments and common areas to assure completion of housekeeping tasks.
- Performs housekeeping, janitorial tasks and minor repairs as assigned.
- Assures that other janitorial and repair requests are properly logged and monitors their completion.
- Provides laundry services as needed and/or directed.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and follows infection control procedures.
- Observes problems, concerns and issues observed with Resident units, the community and the grounds and communicates them appropriately.
- Observes changes in Resident status, needs or preferences and communicates them appropriately.
- Observes other problems and communicates them appropriately.
- Observes all work, safety and administrative rules.
- Adheres to all established policies and procedures.
- Records Resident information as required.
- Avoids loss, breakage and waste of supplies and equipment.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to procedures for fire, life safety, disaster, security, work, safety and other emergencies.
- Associate should perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- High school diploma/GED preferred.
- Must be able to communicate effectively (written and oral form) in a care setting with residents, families, staff.
- Must be able to climb, bend, lift, stoop, kneel, crawl, push, reach and carry, stand for extended periods of time and may be required to move furniture.
- Able to respond productively and to handle additional tasks/projects as assigned.
- Ability to detect odors and see spots and spills.
- Ability to move housekeeping cart with cleaning equipment.
