EVS Technician – Kirkland Location

Fairfax Behavioral Health is a private, free‑standing mental health hospital that provides psychiatric and detox treatment. We employ a team of dedicated staff who uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

• Perform basic and specialty cleaning of patient rooms, offices, hallways, floors, and common areas in accordance with healthcare best practices.
• Comply with product labeling standards, storage, PPE processes, ergonomic body mechanics, standard work safety, and environmental safety.
• Remove and dispose of trash and recycling; clean and disinfect trash receptacles and high‑touch surfaces.
• Stage soiled linens, stock clean linens, and keep expendables sufficiently stocked.
• Perform high dusting, cleaning of all surfaces, and clean all fixtures in lavatories.
• Sweep, mop floor and wall base surfaces; clean furniture and patient beds.
• Respond rapidly to urgent issues (e.g., overflowing toilet) and participate in emergency management processes.
• Provide full cleaning services to all offices and non‑clinical spaces within assigned shift area.
• Keep supplies and equipment safely stored and secure from patient access; adhere to cart storage system.
• Assist coworkers as needed; take immediate action to minimize risk in the environment of care.
• Comply with standards, regulations, infection control and risk management plans, policies and procedures.
• Attend all mandatory facility in‑services and staff development activities.
• Coordinate with facilities department to support cleaning needs of maintenance projects.
• Other duties as assigned; adhere to conduct, dress, attendance, and punctuality standards.

• High school diploma preferred.
• Minimum six months of housekeeping experience preferred.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
