ATSU - Environmental Service Worker (SLO)

Job Type: Full-time

The Environmental Service Worker is responsible for the general cleaning of interior building areas that include, but are not limited to, classrooms, restrooms, offices, public spaces, entry ways, patient care facilities, lobbies, conference rooms, study rooms, and research and simulation labs. The position also covers exterior entrances, including emptying trash receptacles, cleaning sidewalks, and cleaning lobby door entrances. Additionally, the role involves assisting in special event setups and teardowns, with occasional night and weekend coverage.

• Clean designated interior building areas, including dusting and wiping down surfaces, sinks, countertops, desks, chairs, windows, fixtures, and ledges.
• Detail clean restrooms.
• Clean hard surface and carpet floors.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles.
• Re‑stock supply carts, closets, and designated areas.
• Move and set up furniture.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to move freely throughout a building, including navigating stairs and ramps.
• Ability to use hand tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Ability to understand and follow both oral and written instructions from supervisors.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative to complete tasks without constant supervision.
• Ability to adapt to changes in work assignments and priorities.
• Ability to identify and solve problems related to cleanliness and safety.

There are 3 positions available: 1 Day Shift (7:00 am – 4:00 pm) and 2 Night shift (3:00 pm – 4:00 pm).

Salary: $21.52 per hour
