Overview

The Peak Season Repair Specialist is a pathway to full‑time employment with Safelite. In this role you will use industry‑leading technology to repair vehicle glass, manage work orders, and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Repair chips, cracks, and other auto glass issues on customer vehicles.
  • Learn to repair vehicle glass in classroom and hands‑on training, following the Safelite Way of Fitting.
  • Manage work orders, customer documentation, and communication through the Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.
  • Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers.
  • Clean customer vehicles during idle time and perform housekeeping tasks in the company vehicle and shop.
  • Operate company and customer vehicles, tools, and chemicals safely.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all company policies and standards.
  • Drive company vehicles under monitoring via camera, GPS, and tracking technologies.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED. Preferred.
  • Valid state‑issued driver’s license. Other licenses required by law.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Completion of Safelite Safe Tech™ certification (on‑the‑job training).
Skills and Abilities
  • Lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs, and assisting with windshields weighing 26–50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend, and twist the body.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Operate a motor vehicle in accordance with all laws and be monitored by camera/video.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, stay professional, and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
  • Work scheduled days with flexibility on start and end times.
  • Problem‑solving and trouble‑shooting independently and collaboratively.
  • Read, write, and interpret English and technical directions.
  • Communicate orally and in writing.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to uniform and PPE policies.
  • Perform under pressure and maintain stable performance.
