The TPM and Standards Technician is responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining Total Productive Maintenance systems, maintenance standards, and data tracking tools across the Kissimmee facility. This role drives equipment reliability, standardization, and continuous improvement through ownership of TPM pillar activities, controlled documentation, and performance tracking systems such as L2L and Excel based reporting.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • TPM Program Execution:
    Drive TPM implementation including Autonomous Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, and focused improvement activities.
  • Support equipment restoration and elimination of losses across all production lines.
  • L2L System Ownership:
    Manage work order creation, closure, auditing, and reporting within the L2L system. Ensure accuracy of maintenance data and timely completion of work orders.
  • Preventive Maintenance:
    Maintain the plant preventive maintenance schedule. Monitor compliance, communicate gaps, and coordinate with maintenance leads to ensure completion.
  • Standards Development:
    Create, revise, and control SOPs, one-point lessons, job aids, and maintenance standards. Ensure all documents meet plant document control requirements.
  • KPI Tracking:
    Develop and maintain maintenance performance metrics including downtime, MTTR, MTBF, and PM compliance. Provide regular reporting to plant leadership.
  • Training and Certification:
    Maintain technician training records, skill matrices, and certifications. Support onboarding and ensure documentation is complete prior to employees working independently.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Support Kaizen activities, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Safety Compliance:
    Follow all company safety requirements including lockout tagout, PPE usage, and hazard reporting. Promote a safe and compliant work environment.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of TPM principles, preventive maintenance systems, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Proficiency with CMMS systems such as L2L and strong Excel skills for reporting and analysis.
  • Ability to create and control technical documentation including SOPs and job aids.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work across departments.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals in English.
  • Must have good communication skills and be able to communicate with many levels of personnel effectively and tactfully in a variety of situations and environments.
  • Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must have the ability and motivation to learn.
  • The ability to work in a manufacturing and fast-paced environment.
  • Have reliable transportation and be punctual to each assigned shift.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background and drug screen.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum three years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Experience supporting or coordinating TPM or preventive maintenance programs preferred.
  • Experience with CMMS systems such as L2L preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and diagnostics skills.
  • Proficiency in using specialized maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
  • Clear and precise communication skills and the ability to work within a team.
