Janitorial Cleaner (Non-Exempt)

Part-Time (No Overtime Eligibility)

$15.00 - $18.00 (commensurate with experience)

Initial 90 days of employment

The Janitorial Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment in accordance with company and client standards. This position involves routine cleaning of restrooms, floors, surfaces, and designated work areas. The role requires reliability, attention to detail, and adherence to established safety procedures. This is a non‑exempt, part‑time position and does not qualify for overtime.

Part‑time shifts are available and are based on location availability. The work week typically starts on Saturday and ends on Friday, covering a seven‑day work week. Employees are not allowed to work more than five consecutive days in a seven‑day period. Shifts can range from 4 to 6 hours depending on the location. Overnight shifts (12 am–8 am) are required one day per week.

Day porter positions, if available, consist of 4‑hour shifts with no overtime. All day porter positions and other shifts vary by location and requirement.

• Wash, buff, and maintain tile and carpet floors
• Clean restrooms and keep soap and paper stocked
• Clean and disinfect trash bins
• Vacuum daily and remove stains from carpets
• Perform detailed cleaning of gondolas, corner guards, and machinery after use
• Pick up trash throughout the store, including the front of the store
• Maintain the backroom organized and stocked with chemicals provided

• Documentation to work in the United States
• Availability to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, end‑of‑year, and blackout dates
• Must wear slip‑resistant shoes at all times
• Ability to lift, push, and pull a maximum of 50 pounds (trash, boxes)
• Ability to operate equipment weighing up to 200 pounds (e.g., push and pull machinery)
• Ability to bend, kneel, and reach required areas

• No audio headphones are allowed during working hours
• Must wear a uniform T‑shirt to enter the location
• Must present a virtual badge  entry
• Closed shoes must be worn at all times
• No leggings or shorts are allowed on site

• Must use a mobile phone to clock in and clock out of shifts
• Must be mobile application savvy (payroll and time‑keeping apps)
