Housekeeper/Maintenance Technician
The Housekeeper/Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness, appearance, safety, and functionality of the apartment community in accordance with company standards, policies, and procedures. Responsibilities include apartment turnover cleaning, custodial duties, maintaining community grounds and common areas, and performing general and preventive maintenance repairs, including carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, HVAC, masonry, and appliance repairs, as well as other projects assigned by the supervisor.
This position is expected to demonstrate initiative, professionalism, integrity, personal accountability, and discretion while maintaining confidentiality and conducting themselves in a manner consistent with the company's Business Ethics, Employee Conduct, and Confidentiality policies outlined in the employee handbook.
Housekeeping duties include cleaning unfurnished apartments to make ready for new residents, cleaning the rental office daily, cleaning community common areas such as the pool and areas, restrooms, fitness center, and laundry rooms.
Maintenance tech duties include following all safety procedures and regulations, performing maintenance service requests (work orders) for the apartment community, performing scheduled maintenance turnover work, providing information to the Property Management Staff regarding safety concerns and the general appearance of the community, providing on-call maintenance for evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled, retrieving and dispensing of any visible trash or garbage on the property in route to work assignments, and performing other duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge and experience required include a high school diploma or equivalent, previous apartment, building maintenance, housekeeping, custodial, or related maintenance experience preferred, HVAC certification preferred, specialized training or experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, and general maintenance preferred, knowledge of first aid and safety procedures, and basic computer skills required, including the ability to create, manage, and close work orders.

include exhibiting a cooperative and professional attitude with supervisors, co-workers, residents, vendors, and customers, demonstrating strong customer service skills and professionalism when interacting with residents and team members, performing housekeeping, custodial, and maintenance-related tasks including cleaning, painting, carpentry, electrical work, appliance repair, HVAC, plumbing, pool maintenance, and general repairs, safely operating hand and power tools, demonstrating effective verbal and written communication skills, and exhibiting strong time management, organizational, planning, and coordination skills.
Work environment includes working on-site at the apartment community and regularly interfacing with residents, vendors, and internal/external customers, work schedules may vary depending on the needs of the property, typical work hours may range between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, weekend work (Saturday/Sunday), overtime, and on-call assignments may be required, and flexibility in scheduling and availability is required to meet operational needs.
Physical requirements include frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, carry, push, pull, talk, and hear, must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, must be able to safely operate hand and power tools, may be required to occasionally drive during the course of work, and must maintain sufficient physical capability to perform all assigned responsibilities safely and effectively in accordance with company standards and professional expectations.
Compensation: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
