Community Service Attendant - Cleaning & Facility Upkeep

This is 16 hours, weekends only (Saturday and Sunday)

Position Summary

The Clubhouse Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and general upkeep of the clubhouse and surrounding recreational areas. This position is focused exclusively on cleaning and maintaining assigned indoor and outdoor amenity spaces to ensure they remain clean, orderly, and presentable for residents and guests.

This position does
not
include administrative duties, resident services, event coordination, facility management, or maintenance/repair responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clubhouse & Indoor Areas
  • Clean and maintain all clubhouse common areas.
  • Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors as needed.
  • Wipe down and disinfect tables, counters, doors, handles, and other frequently touched surfaces.
  • Clean interior glass, mirrors, and other designated surfaces.
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
  • Pick up and properly dispose of trash and debris throughout the clubhouse.
  • Straighten furniture and maintain an orderly appearance throughout the facility.
Restrooms
  • Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, countertops, mirrors, fixtures, and floors.
  • Empty restroom trash receptacles and replace liners.
  • Restock toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and other provided restroom supplies.
  • Maintain restrooms in a clean, sanitary, and presentable condition.
Fitness Room
  • Sweep, vacuum, and/or mop flooring as appropriate.
  • Wipe down and disinfect fitness equipment and frequently touched surfaces.
  • Clean mirrors and glass.
  • Empty trash receptacles.
  • Pick up trash and straighten the fitness room to maintain a clean and orderly appearance.
Pool & Pool Deck
  • Pick up and properly dispose of trash and debris throughout the pool and pool deck areas.
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
  • Straighten and organize pool chairs, tables, loungers, and other pool furniture.
  • Blow leaves and loose debris from the pool deck and surrounding paved areas.
  • Use a pool skimmer/net to remove leaves, insects, trash, and other floating debris from the surface of the pool.
  • Maintain the pool deck in a clean, neat, and presentable condition.
  • Report any observed maintenance, safety, or pool-equipment concerns to the appropriate supervisor. The attendant is not responsible for pool maintenance, chemical treatment, or repairs.
Basketball & Tennis Courts
  • Pick up trash, leaves, and debris from basketball and tennis courts.
  • Empty nearby trash receptacles as assigned.
  • Blow or sweep leaves and loose debris from court surfaces and surrounding areas.
  • Maintain court areas in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Report observed damage or maintenance concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
Exterior Clubhouse Areas
  • Pick up trash and debris from sidewalks, entryways, patios, walkways, landscaped borders, parking areas immediately surrounding the clubhouse, and other assigned exterior amenity areas.
  • Empty exterior trash receptacles and replace liners.
  • Sweep or blow leaves and debris from entrances, walkways, patios, and other hardscape areas.
  • Maintain the immediate exterior of the clubhouse in a clean and presentable condition.
General Expectations

The Clubhouse Attendant is expected to complete assigned cleaning duties thoroughly and consistently, maintain cleaning supplies and equipment in an orderly manner, follow all safety procedures for cleaning products and equipment, and promptly report damaged property, unsafe conditions, maintenance concerns, or supply shortages to their supervisor.

The attendant is responsible for cleaning and appearance only and should not attempt repairs, perform pool chemical maintenance, provide facility management, enforce community rules, handle resident complaints, or perform administrative functions unless specifically directed by management.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Bend, reach, kneel, squat, and perform repetitive cleaning movements.
  • Push, pull, and reposition pool furniture and other lightweight furnishings.
  • Operate standard cleaning equipment and a handheld or backpack blower.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Safely lift and carry cleaning supplies, trash bags, and other items associated with assigned cleaning duties.
  • Perform outdoor duties in Florida heat, humidity, and other normal weather conditions.
