- Responsibilities:
Provide mechanical inspection and test services on naval weight handling equipment to ensure integrity and compliance with specifications;
Perform periodic and emergent deficiency inspections of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, structural, and electrical/mechanical systems;
Inspect and troubleshoot components during removal, repair, alteration, overhaul, installation and alignment;
Identify deficiencies precluding safe operation and advise supervisor for engineering resolution;
Initiate corrective documentation and conduct appropriate operational tests to ensure quality and satisfactory completion
